In 1990, Stewart Tabori & Chang published an updated version of A Christmas Carol with intricate and highly detailed illustrations. The full page color water colors by Roberto Innocenti captured the very essence of Charles Dickens' iconic story. As a result, in 1981, Department 56 introduced a series of four limited edition china plates featuring Innocenti's works. Production of each plate was set at 18,000 pieces. On the back is the sequence number and a quote from A Christmas Carol as it relates to each. | ||||||||||||
